Like many entrepreneurs, Brooke Greer describes her experience of starting a business as somewhat accidental. Though her formal education is in English literature and her professional background ranges across a variety of industries, she felt immediately at ease leading a team and driving the growth of a small business.
In addition to providing plenty of challenges and opportunities for learning, she says that at the end of the day, working in catering is a blast. There’s a lot for her to love about catering, where she can problem solve, direct others, create ideas and see them to fruition. She balances a sharp focus on leveling-up her company with a tenacious dedication to culture, and a happy workplace is a top priority for her.
Brooke also serves on the board of the Austin chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization, a network of entrepreneurs that provides collaborative support, education, and connection for business owners.
Outside of work she loves hosting parties (it’s her second nature) and finding new hobbies (and often impatiently abandoning them). She and her husband JG welcomed their new son, Rivers Wilder Greer to the family in July, and Contigo Catering is excited to see her take on this new adventure!
